Herstory Award Of Excellence Winners

HERSTORY 2016 EXHIBITION: An Online Exhibition of Women Artists, March 20, 2016 – April 20, 2016
For centuries women artists have inspired us with their enormous talent and courage in the competitive art world. Many have served as creative trailblazers. Unfortunately, their contributions have gone under-recognized by museums, galleries, and private and public collections. The purpose of “HERStory 2016” is to share and promote the art and statements of exceptional women artists.

Award of Excellence Winners in the Manhattan Arts International “HERStory 2016” online exhibition are featured March 20-April 20, 2016. All artists in this exhibition have achieved technical prowess in their chosen mediums. They demonstrate distinctive and clear awareness about their artistic visions as reflected in both their art and their statement’s statements. In addition, they maintain professional career standards as evidenced on their websites.

Ruth Soller, Grandview Sunset Grand Canyon, oil on linen, 24” x 30”, is selected as an Award of Excellence Winner .
"In my magical western landscapes brilliant hues express my passion, symbolic motifs transform detail, and dramatic contrasts add power. My National Parks series are based on plein air studies and photographs from my travels. My purpose is to share my meditative state or emotional response inspired by nature."

Remembrance of September 11, 2001

Remember those 343 brave New York City firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Washington, D.C.— Ruth Soller’s original oil painting In Remembrance was acquired by the General President of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) for permanent display in their headquarters in Washington, D.C. The IAFF is an AFL-CIO affiliated labor union representing more than 240,000 professional fire fighters and emergency medical personnel in the U.S. and Canada. Soller’s painting is drawn from an October 2001 memorial service held at Ground Zero in New York City in which fire fighters handed out pieces of rubble to survivors and family members of those lost and missing in the World Trade Center. Rather than a likeness of one individual, the painting symbolizes all fire fighters who joined in the search for their brothers. “I am greatly honored and humbled that my painting has been selected for this prestigious collection. The spirit of the painting is one of indomitable hope, patriotism, and determination to move forward in the midst of grief and sorrow,” says Soller.

Garden & Patio Decor

Joyfully we welcome spring at last! Are you eager to enjoy warm evenings outdoors on your deck or patio?
Are you itching to till the soil in your garden and plant fresh flower beds?

I’m excited to introduce you to new art products which are durable enough to brighten your sunroom, covered porch, patio or deck.
You may select any image in my FineArtAmerica.com shop for either an acrylic print or an aluminum metal print.
These high quality products are produced by FineArtAmerica.com and will ship to your home three days after you order.
You may choose sizes ranging from 7”x10” up to 28”x40”.

Acrylic Prints

http://fineartamerica.com/products/beavertail-cactus-ruth-soller-acrylic-print.html

Bring your image to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.
Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic!

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.
The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!
All acrylic prints arrive "ready to hang" and there are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.
The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board
which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. Due to the thickness of the black
board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"

Metal Prints

Bring your image to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print.
Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum!

The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.

The wooden frame on the back of the print includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall.
All metal prints arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Metal prints are extremely durable. They're lightweight. They won't bend, and they're water resistant.

The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.
